Brethren Heritage Museum

The Brethren Heritage Museum consists of three buildings, the main museum formerly an ice house and store, and a tool shed housing primarily logging equipment. Kaleva Bottle House Museum

The Bottle House Museum in Kaleva is open on Saturdays and Sundays from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and Saturdays through October. New display features Brethren High School's award- winning Servie Learning class working in Kaleva 1996-2000, the Makinen Tackle Collection, many other displays updated. Winter Solstice

Annual Lighting of the Cemetery on the Winter Solstice, December 21, in Kaleva. Starting at 4:00 pm on the longest night, hundreds of luminaries are placed on graves in the Kaleva cemetery to honor loved ones. Meet at 14701 Metsola Ave. to help with the luminaries. There is a short program at the cemetery at 5:15 and a soup supper following at Kaleva’s Bethany Lutheran Church. All are welcome.
