Victorian Dessert Concert 12/4/2008 Visit: Manistee Choral Society This elegant concert/dessert is on the Thursday of the Victorian Sleighbell Weekend. Held at the Faith Covenant Church, 475 8th Street at 7 pm, reservations are required. The Chorus, all outfitted in elegant Victorian dress, present Christmas and seasonal music, while at the intermission, the guests are served a traditional Victorian dessert with all the trimmings. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:00 pm and Sunday Matinee is at 2:00 pm. 19th Annual Sleighbell Arts & Crafts Show 12/6/2008 Visit: Artifact Pottery At Manistee High School, on 12th Street in Manistee, 9-4pm Saturday. A fundraiser for a worthy cause, this show is sponsored by the West Shore Medical Center Auxiliary. They raise money to purchase items our local hospital needs. This show always draws big crowds looking for unique holiday gifts for that hard-to-buy-for person. Come and visit the Artifact Pottery booth! Open House - Kaleva Art Gallery 12/7/2008 Visit: Kaleva Art Gallery The Kaleva Art Gallery will host an open house on Sunday, in the historic drug store building, downtown Kaleva. Refreshments will be served. Christmas Celebration - Kaleva Bottle House 12/7/2008 noon - 5 pm. Visit: Kaleva Historical Society The Kaleva Bottle House Museum will be open on Sunday, December 7, from noon to 5:00 pm for a special Christmas celebration. Traditional decorations, the Finnish Heaven, music and refreshments will make this a memorable visit. Winter Solstice 12/21/2008 Visit: Kaleva Historical Society December 21, Annual Lighting of the Cemetery on Winter Solstice, Kaleva. Starting at 4:00 pm on the longest night, over six hundred luminaries are placed on graves in the Kaleva cemetery to honor loved ones. There is a soup supper and short program at Kaleva’s Bethany Lutheran Church at 5:30 pm. All are welcome. January Ice Breaker 1/17/2009 4 pm til ??
