 EVENTS

As the Arts and Culture Alliance of Manistee County, we invite you to check out what's happening in our area. There are many historical museums and markers to see, along with informational, self-guided tours.  Our area is rich with musical culture, and in the summer there are many opportunities to check out live music all week long. These concerts take place in beautiful settings like 1st Street Beach in Manistee, the Asiala Log Cabin in Kaleva, the Jaycees Bandshell on the river in Manistee and in the serenely wooded Dickson Township Park. Check out everything we have to offer!

The majority of these events are not owned or hosted by the Arts & Culture Alliance.

The ACA supports these activities and is happy to promote events of our members.

If you would like your event here, please contact us or join as a member today.

What's Going On...

JAMES EARL JONES SCULPTURE HAS BEEN BRONZED!  We are almost there!

$80,000 Raised [GOAL: $110,000] - ACA announces that the sculpture of James Earl Jones has been bronzed. Sculptor Bernadette Marcos Zachara is working on Donald Crouch's form in clay and is almost finish. This is exciting news since $80,000 of $110,000 goal has been reached!! We have had over 90 donors to the project, 90 mentors nominated, while raising $80,000 thus far.

Excavation of the site at Kaleva-Norman-Dickson School in Brethren has started. Installation is slated for late Summer early Fall and a dedication is planned for October, 14th at 3pm at the KND schools, 4400 High Bridge Rd., Brethren, MI 49619

Brethren students were briefed on the project and extended their excitement in welcoming the sculpture to the campus and how happy they were to be a part of the history!

Thank You to everyone who has joined with us for this project. We will continue to raise funds to cross the finish line to our $110,000 goal. Please donate Here.
